Treatment for the Couple

We believe it is important to address the needs of the couple during treatment.  Initially couples work focuses on supporting and guiding the couple as they learn about sex addiction and work on their recovery.  In time couples work shifts its from healing from the addiction toward the creation of the nurturing and fulfilling relationship you and your partner desire.  In addition to couples therapy, we offer a number of treatment services for the couple.

 

 

Sex Addiction 101:  Understanding Sex & Pornography Addiction

The is a 3 hour introductory class for individuals or couples which focuses on the following:

  • What is sex addiction
  • The sex addiction experience for the addict as well as the partner
  • The neurological basis for addiction and recovery
  • How trauma and addiction impact the relationship dynamics
  • What effective treatment for the addict, partner, and couple looks like

Advanced Couples Group

This is a group for couples who have a solid foundation in their individual recovery processes.  Topics discussed include:

    • How prior life experiences impact your relationship and recovery
    • Effective communication skills
    • How does coupleship change through the recovery process
    • Sharing of ideas and experiences
