Treatment for Partners of Sexual Betrayal in Sonoma County & Online

We’re here to help you take the next step toward healing

Willow Tree provides structured outpatient services specifically for partners of sexual betrayal. Care may include individual counseling, partner-focused coaching, and facilitated recovery groups within a coordinated, partner-sensitive model of care.

If you are the partner of someone struggling with compulsive sexual behavior, you may be experiencing shock, anger, fear, or deep emotional pain. Many partners describe feeling shattered  and unsure how to move forward.

Has betrayal damaged your sense of safety, trust, or sanity?

You are not alone and you are not crazy!

Discovery of sexual betrayal can significantly impact emotional safety and lead to deep confusion and disorientation. You may question your reality, your relationship, and/or your future.

Our treatment model recognizes that partner healing and addiction recovery can occur simultaneously — and yet are not the same process. The partner's traumatic experience deserves its own distinct and supported path of care.

Healing can occur whether you remain in the relationship or not.

Betrayal trauma healing requires validation, stabilization, and structured clinical support.

What is betrayal trauma?

Betrayal trauma occurs when a trusted partner conceals sexual behaviors. This ongoing secrecy and deception undermine trust and significantly impact emotional safety, connection, and relational stability.

Partners may experience:

  • Shock and disorientation
  • Intrusive thoughts or flashbacks
  • Hypervigilance or trigger responses
  • Emotional flooding or numbness
  • Sleep or appetite changes
  • Loss of trust in their own intuition
  • Fear based reactions
  • Sexual impact

These are trauma responses — not overreactions.

Our approach to partner-sensitive care

At Willow Tree, we recognize that each partner's experience of betrayal is unique. Discovery can arrive suddenly or unfold slowly — and regardless of how it happens, the impact is real.

Our approach begins with stabilization — helping you regulate the emotional overwhelm, restore a sense of safety, and establish healthy boundaries. From there, healing moves through a structured process of grief, clarity, and empowerment — whether you choose to remain in the relationship or not.

Your therapist or coach will walk alongside you through this process — listening, guiding, and providing the clinical and relational support you need at each stage. All Willow Tree clinicians and coaches hold specialized training in both sex addiction treatment and partner-sensitive recovery models.

PARTNER HEALING GROUPS

Structured group support plays a central role in betrayal trauma healing.

Many partners experience isolation and self-doubt following discovery. Professionally facilitated groups provide validation, education, and connection within a safe, non-judgmental environment.
