We’re here to help you take the next step toward recovery
Compulsive sexual behavior and pornography addiction can negatively affect relationships, work performance, emotional stability, and personal integrity. Whether you recognize your behavior feels out of control or someone close to you has raised concerns, Willow Tree provides specialized outpatient treatment focused on restoring clarity, accountability, and long-term recovery.
Treatment may include individual counseling, recovery coaching, structured recovery groups, or therapeutic intensives depending on clinical need. All services are coordinated within one model of care to support sustainable change.
When compulsive sexual behavior becomes a strategy for coping, life can become unmanageable, impacting you and those around you. You may feel caught in cycles of secrecy, shame, escalation, or repeated attempts to stop.
Our treatment model recognizes that addiction recovery and relational repair are interconnected. Sustainable change requires behavioral accountability alongside an understanding of the emotional and relational system affected by addiction.
With support and guidance, life can become calmer, clearer and more grounded.
Sexual addiction recovery focuses on more than achieving sobriety — it supports building a sustainable recovery rooted in honesty, accountability, empathy, and healthy relational responsibility.
What is sex addiction?
Sex addiction — clinically understood as compulsive sexual behavior — is a pattern of persistent, escalating sexual behaviors that continue despite negative consequences. Over time, the behavior becomes less about pleasure and more about emotional regulation — managing stress, loneliness, shame, anxiety, or unresolved trauma.
Individuals often describe feeling caught in a repetitive cycle of preoccupation, ritualization, acting out, and emotional fallout.
Common indicators may include:
Addiction is often described as an illness of escape — a strategy to medicate or avoid painful emotional realities. Sex addiction is not defined by the specific behavior, but by the pattern — particularly the loss of control, escalation, and continuation despite harm.
Our approach to addict recovery
Our addiction treatment model integrates structured recovery practices, attachment‑based relational work, and trauma‑informed therapy. Our approach emphasizes emotional regulation, integrity‑building, and the development of internal stability.
This compulsive sexual behavior treatment model is implemented in a three phase process:
A guiding principle at Willow Tree is that sobriety is what you don’t do, while recovery is what you do. Sobriety means refraining from destructive behaviors, while recovery involves actively building new skills, healing underlying wounds, and living by recovery values such as honesty, accountability, empathy, and integrity.

You'll complete selected CSAT assessments through our secure online portal. These clinically validated tools provide an in-depth picture of your patterns and needs, and generate detailed data to inform your care and treatment recommendations.
04
Your Next Step
You'll meet again with your intake therapist to review findings and discuss whether a compulsive sexual pattern is present. If so, we'll provide clear treatment recommendations. If not, we'll connect you with appropriate referrals.
Recovery from sexual addiction is challenging, but it’s absolutely achievable! It asks for structure, accountability, and the courage to face patterns that may have taken years to form. The process often unfolds in steady, meaningful steps — learning to regulate emotions, rebuilding integrity, and developing the inner stability that supports lasting change.
At Willow Tree, we guide you through this process. Our treatment model is built to offer clarity, consistency, and compassionate guidance so you don’t have to navigate the journey alone.
